Rhonda Larson Recital in Rochester, New York - 20 April 2012

I greatly enjoyed Rhonda Larson's performance at the 2010 INAFA Convention. She's an absolutely amazing performer, and an intriguing and enchanting person, with loads of accolades, including a Grammy!

She will be performing Friday, April 20, 7:30 pm, at the First Unitarian Church, 220 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York, presented by the Rochester Flute Association. Tickets will be available at the door, $15 adults, $10 students/seniors.

“One Woman, a World of Music” Recital

Rhonda’s intimate, multi-faceted solo flute show features an assortment of flutes from around the world, as well as the European flutes, in a soulful mix of sacred, classical, folk, Celtic, and ethnic music.

“..it took mere moments for everyone to let go and happily succumb to a performer who plays the flute the way it should be- from the inside out.” --Kitchener-Waterloo Record, Canada

East Coast Flute Cruise Sept 14-20, 2012 - Time's Running Out to Book!

Here's information on the East Cost Flute Cruise, being coordinated by Roger Bennett, flute maker of Redbird Flutes, and leader of the Windsongs Native American Flute Circle in Maryland:

The time is running out to book the 2012 East Coast Flute Cruise.  We already have a two week extension, but the cruise must be booked on or before March 28, 2012.  Beyond that, the cruise may still available, but NOT at the group price.  So reserve now - your space can be reserved for as little as $25 per person/$50 per cabin down with the balance due later this summer.

We are already planning a number of workshops and open mic events plus daily flute playing groups.  We’re still hoping to add a performer to the line-up, but without more bookings this will not be possible.

Also, as an added bonus, all Flute Cruise registrants will be entered into a free raffle for a flute provided by flute maker Roger Bennett of Redbird Flutes.

Don’t miss out! Call and reserve your place today!

Flute Circle Leaders:

Please share this information with your members.  We apologize for the short notice, but we’re trying to make this happen for this year.  We only have a short window of opportunity; so please review the following information and forward it to your circle’s email list.

Roger Bennett, Windsongs Native American Flute Circle

Windsongs Native American Flute Circle (Havre de Grace, MD) is pleased to announce our first-ever event: The 2012 East Coast Flute Cruise.

Sailing from the Port of Baltimore, MD on Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas for a six day voyage to Bermuda, the East Coast Flute Cruise provides an opportunity for flutists to enjoy sharing their flutes and music in a luxurious setting on the High Seas.  Come join us for flutes, fun and sun as we visit lovely and historic Bermuda.

The East Coast Flute Cruise will depart Baltimore on September 14, 2012 and return on September 20, 2012.

At the present, we have not yet booked a performer.  We hope to be able to do so; however our ability to do so will depend upon response.  The more participants who sign on for this event, the greater chance we have of providing a headliner for concerts and workshops.

The itinerary is as follows:
14 September: Baltimore, MD
15 September: Cruising (at Sea)
16 September: Kings Wharf, Bermuda
17 September: Kings Wharf, Bermuda
18 September: Kings Wharf, Bermuda
