A free Native American flute concert
will be performed by Dr. Jefferson Svengsouk and the Finger Lakes Flute
Circle at the Brighton Memorial Library, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618, Sunday,
18 November 2012, 2 p.m. The concert is to raise awareness of therapeutic music
at the Palliative Care Program, University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). The
concert will be followed by Q&A about the Native American flute, therapeutic
music, and palliative care. Dr. Svengsouk is an emergency physician, and hospice
and palliative care physician, and has received instruction under Native
American flute recording artist R. Carlos Nakai.
