Finger Lakes Flute Circle Meeting 11 October 2016

The Finger Lakes Flute Circle will meet Tuesday 11 October 2016, 6:30 pm, in the Arts and Crafts Room (and in this room for the remaining meetings of 2016 rather than the Conference Room) at the Brookside School (Brighton Parks & Recreation), 1680 S Winton Rd, Rochester, NY 14618, entrance on Winton Rd, south of Westfall Rd. The official address, 220 Idlewood Rd, will take you through neighborhood streets to the alternate entrance on the other side of the building.

If you are new to the Native American flute, and you learned about the Native American flute at the Rochester Fringe Festival performances of the Cobbs Hill Consort, or you learned about therapeutic music and Native American flute through WXXI PBS programming last month (Arts InFocus, Need to Know), welcome!

Beginners of all levels of experience, even none, are very much welcome and encouraged to come and learn! No prior experience or preparation is necessary. Most of the members of the group had absolutely no experience playing Native flute, and some even no musical experience. It's very easy to learn to play. No written music required. We just play the flute "from the heart" and make beautiful music.

There will be beginner flutes available to try out. We'll have a great time making music with Native American flutes, hand percussion, and drums.

$5 contribution is suggested to help with MeetUp.com and room rental costs.

All comers of all experience levels are welcome. We will make beautiful music together. We hope to see you there!

Finding the absolute canal that will clothing you is alone a amount of claimed preference. Whether you are a apprentice or a professional, it is still your claimed assessment if a canal is acceptable or not.
